Scaffolding Rental Price Philippines – How Much Does It Cost?

August 9, 2022 By brodneil 3 Comments

Scaffolding is used for construction projects that require temporary support structures.

The Basic Types of Scaffoldings

There are three main types of scaffolding:

  • Prefabricated: Prefabricated scaffolding is manufactured at a factory and shipped to the job site.
  • Semi-prefabricated: Semi-prefabricated scaffolding consists of two parts: a base and a superstructure. The base is usually constructed first and then attached to the structure.
  • Custom-made: Custom scaffolding is designed specifically for each project.

The Benefits of Using Scaffolding Services

You will probably use scaffolding services if you need to build something big, such as a house. They help people reach higher places than they would typically be able to climb. This type of service is also known as “scaffold erection” or “building scaffolding.”

The Costs of Scaffolding Services

The rental price varies from region to region, from city to city, and obviously from one provider to another.

Should You Buy or Rent Scaffolding

October 3, 2021 By brodneil Leave a Comment

Scaffolding is a crucial structure in construction, renovation, cleaning, maintenance, and repair projects. If you wonder which is a more practical choice – to buy or rent scaffoldings, we are laying out different factors to help you decide.

Before we go into the factor, let us quickly learn some information about scaffoldings.

What is scaffolding?

Scaffolding or scaffold is a temporary platform that helps support workmen and their materials during a project to make their work safer and more efficient. The scaffolding structure is usually made of tubes from steel or wood, couplers, and boards professionally built together to create a stable and secure frame. Workers use a scaffold to access certain heights and areas usually challenging to access and go to.

When do you need scaffolding?

You are going to need scaffolding when you are doing projects that involve height and some materials. These include constructing, renovating, and repairing houses, commercial buildings, and other man-made structures like bridges, fences, and more. Apart from the construction activities, you will also need scaffolding in repairs, maintenance, renovation, cleaning, and installation projects involving heights. When a ladder is not enough for higher, bigger, and more complex projects, a scaffold will make your job easier and safer.

Who uses scaffolding?

Builders and those in the construction business are the ones who often use scaffolding for their projects. But even if you are a regular homeowner, you may also need to use a frame for your home projects. In addition, painters and those in the business of installing items like solar panels, security systems, and more may also use scaffolding to make their job safer and more convenient.

Should you buy or rent scaffolding?

Scaffolding rental or purchase – which one is right for you? To make the correct choice, you have to consider some factors, including frequency of use, space, expertise, and cost.

How often will you use a scaffold?

Scaffolding is not a cheap and easy investment. When you decide to buy scaffolding, you need to ensure you make the most of what you are spending. The first thing you need to deliberate is how often you will be using scaffolding.

If you are in the construction, repair, or installation business, it might be a great idea to invest in a scaffold. This way, the structure is always ready when you need it. It might also be cheaper in the long run, considering the frequency of your use. When you’re not using it, you may also consider doing a scaffolding rental business for those who need it. This is especially advantageous if there are not so many scaffolding rentals available in your area.

If you need scaffolding for single-use, the clear choice is to rent scaffolding. However, it is also the better choice if you occasionally use the structure. This way, the materials to make a scaffold will not go to waste after use. Besides, it is a lot more expensive to buy than to rent scaffoldings where you only pay when you need them.

Do you have enough space to store scaffolding materials?

Space is another factor to consider when deciding to purchase or opt for scaffolding rental. Scaffolding materials take up space. So if you choose to buy scaffolding, you need to make sure you have enough space to keep the tubes, the boards, and connectors. If you don’t have the storage space, you would better rent a scaffold when you need it.

Do you have the expertise in setting up a scaffold?

A scaffold is an essential structure that needs to be set up correctly to avoid safety hazards. If you want to get one, you need to know how to properly install it. If you have been in the construction business, you may have the expertise to set it up. However, if you are not familiar with scaffoldings, you may not have the skills to do it. So if you only plan on using it once or occasionally, renting scaffolding might be a better choice. This way, you don’t have to worry about properly installing the scaffold and posing a hazard to yourself or your workers.

Conclusion

Scaffolding is essential for construction, repair, maintenance, and installation projects, but it is not cheap. If you think you will be using it often and have the space to store it and the installation know-how, buying one can be a great decision. However, if you only use it occasionally and don’t have enough space to keep the materials or don’t have the skills to set it up correctly, you’d be better off renting scaffolding.
You just need to find a reliable scaffolding rental in your area so that you can be assured of safety and value.

3D-Printed Home Amid Housing Affordability Crisis

July 25, 2021 By brodneil Leave a Comment

To counter rising costs of everything, from lumber to concrete to homes themselves, builders have begun to adopt 3D-printing technology to reduce costs.

Kyndra Light and James Light have tapped into the world of 3D printing to bring affordable homebuilding to Floridians.

The automated printer, suspended on four posts, produces about 2 feet of concrete per day.

Printing walls out of concrete is a huge cost saver. In addition, it requires very little labor besides a small crew manning the printer.

Construction takes about 8-10 weeks for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house. It will cost around $175,000 and $200,000. The cost savings is noticeable considering the median US-existing home price surged to a record of $350,000.

It could also be a great tool to rebuild homes after a hurricane strike because the printer works quickly.

With rampant inflation everywhere, consumers said higher home prices were a reason why buying conditions have soured. Perhaps, those who are looking for affordable housing may find answers in 3D printing.

7 Innovations that Will Change Construction As We Know It

December 7, 2020 By brodneil Leave a Comment

Many new and exciting changes are occurring with technological advances in construction. Businesses and firms are investing in technologies such as AI, Virtual reality, 3-D printing, Workflow management software, and more. Most firms believe these advances will greatly benefit their companies. Artificial Intelligence and predictive software is helping to improve efficiency, streamline the workflow, and reduce costs. 3D printing allows for significantly cheaper production of unique or oddly-shaped parts and pieces. Innovations to connectivity solutions allow the customer and builders to seamlessly connect and communicate.

Key Takeaways:

  • According to The Construction Association, approximately 29% of construction firms are investing in new technologies to supplement worker responsibilities.
  • In the U.S. alone, 70% of construction contractors feel that new technologies enhance safety and increase productivity.
  • Connected construction brings information, people, and processes together to create seamless workflows and project efficiency.

“Optimized workflows are essential to well-running projects and teams in the construction industry. However, due to the complexity of construction, workflows have the tendency to be disconnected and manual in nature. The silos within these workflows often lead to the loss of important data and inefficiencies due to disconnect.”

Minor to Major Plumbing Issue

While a tiny little drip looks like something that must only need an easy fix, it can actually be a complex job. A number of things can trigger your faucet to leak. Before you can repair the leaky faucet, you have to know exactly what is triggering the problem. Unlike pipes, the moving parts of a faucet can wear down more easily with time and they might have to be replaced, fixed, or tightened up. When you call AOM3 Builders for plumbing services, AOM3 Builders can identify the following:

  • Determine exactly what is causing the leakage, and
  • Replace the faucet when needed  or repair the faucet so that it’s better than brand-new.

Faucet Repair and Replacement

AOM3 Builders plumbing services is experienced in faucet repair and replacement.  If you’re unsure on what is triggering the leakage, a plumber can visit to have a look at it and identify the source of the problem. As soon as you know what is causing the faucet to leak, the repair is basic and simple for an experienced plumber. A plumber is also knowledgeable to all of the various moving parts that your faucet may have to have replaced including the nut, the stem, the washer, and possibly ornamental caps. In some cases leakages go deeper than the faucet itself, and if that holds true, a plumbing can fix that too.

What to Expect When the Plumber Visits

Several things will take place when a plumber visits your home to stop a dripping faucet. While the plumber is repairing the malfunctioning valve or dripping faucet, you will have to turn off the water. If there is a direct water valve you can switch off for that faucet, that’s the ideal so other faucets in your home won’t be affected. If not, you may need to turn off the main water valve for the entire home. This can be a cause for inconvenience, however it’s required for the plumber to repair the leaking faucet as quickly as possible.
